Truck Explodes on 128

At approximately 5:30 am, a truck crashed and exploded on Rt. 128 in Needham. There were a series of explosions spaced some minutes apart. By the time we got to a vantage point on the Kendrick Street bridge over 128, emergency vehicles were already on the scene. Parts of Hunting Road were closed as a precaution, and 128 in both directions was shut down.

The truck apparently hit some debris in the roadway and rolled over; the driver suffered only minor injuries.
